The site has many subjects that all educators can refer to in their classroom. Both students and teachers that are grades 3-12 may engage in science, social studies, English, math, or arts and music where there are a variety of educational short movies to sort through. Additionally, BrainPOP offers educators a website to explore a variety of learning strategies and lesson plans to be implemented with students in the classroom. The sites main characters, Tim and Moby, cover a wide range of topics in short segments that covers difficult or sensitive topics within the classroom. These segments demonstrate, support, and enhance learning curricular topics for students in a fun, interactive, and engaging way.

YouTube is not just a technology application that gives people a good laugh, it can also be used within the classroom for educational purposes to engage and retain interest in topics for student discussions. Topics or current events that relate to class discussions allow students to relate to the curriculum in meaningful ways, as well as, gain other knowledge that is not understood by the educator and can be explained in the video. Not all learners are the same. Thus, as future teachers we must create a classroom that accesses the needs of a variety of students. YouTube enables visionary learners to engage in content in a more creative way. Not only this, but YouTube permits educators an opportunity to experiment a variety of class lessons that practice differing student skills. Such as students creating their own ideas for a project as an assignment or having learners watch a video to demonstrate a step-by-step problem. YouTube is a great source in the use of educational technology in the classroom and provides a medium for visual and audible means of learning for students.
